About The Founder & Our History
Maria-Luz Bolo is the definition of excellence when it comes to working with children. Not only does she create a safe and thriving space but also works cohesively with families to ensure, what is done at school is reinforced in the home.
Maria-Luz Bolo, the founder of Maria Luz Family Childcare, began her nurturing haven in 1997 after a pivotal experience with her daughter’s nanny. As a mother, she sensed that something was off in the caregiver's approach, prompting her to recognize the vital importance of providing loving and attentive childcare. This insight inspired her to create a space where children feel valued, secure, and inspired.
At Maria Luz Family Childcare, we blend traditional, culturally rich methods with modern teachings and ways of life, connecting to our heritage while embracing contemporary educational practices. Since its inception, the center has flourished into a successful enterprise dedicated to changing lives and shaping future generations. With unwavering passion and commitment, Maria-Luz and her team foster a warm, enriching environment that promotes growth, learning, and love. Today, her vision continues to thrive, making a meaningful difference in the community one child at a time.
What do our families have to say?
“Our son has excelled at Maria Luz Family Childcare. We love the blended value of both play and learning that Ms. Maria brings to her care. We get updates each day of the activities he’s done and she is amazing at keeping us up to date on all the new lessons they learn each week! She really goes above and beyond.”

“There's not enough time or space to talk about how much Maria Luz has impacted our family. Our son has been with her since he was 6 months old. Through it all he has had the structure and education of a classroom years beyond his age, nutritious meals throughout his day, and an inclusive and diverse community of classmates who are taught to love and respect each other. Now, a year later, he is so engaged in the world, speaking and reciting words and numbers and more. We could not have asked for more, and we can't see him anywhere else.”
